Devonne Lakesha Covington is a native of Miami, Florida. Covington is a loving mother of four children, an entrepreneur, a member of the elite ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, and an educator. Devonne earned a Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science in Exceptional Student Education from Alabama State University in Montgomery. In addition, Devonne received a second Master’s in Management & Administration of Educational Programs and an Educational Specialist in Early Literacy and Reading Education from Nova Southeastern University.

After 15 years as an educator in the school system, Devonne stepped out on faith and became a full time entrepreneur. Devonne still uses her expertise with developing and caring for children. Devonne is the CEO/Founder of “Step by Step Educational Center”, “Step by Step Nursery”, “Step by Step Transportation Services”, “Step by Step Preparatory School”, “Pamper Me Too Spa for Kids”, and “Pamper Me Too Hair Care”. Devonne has uniquely added “author” to her credentials.
